Welcome to the wonders of Science!
In this spectacular theatrical experience, Tim and Ruth take the audience on a journey through the world of Science, with bundles of laughs and adventures along the way!
When Tim discovers that he can levitate paperclips and make balls disappear, he thinks that he has magic powers. That is until Ruth demonstrates that Science, not magic, can explain how things work, and the two dive headfirst into a series of wacky and wonderful experiments, often with the help of volunteers from the audience.
Using magnets, soda water, food dye, bleach, vinegar, bubbles, cornflour, smoke and even a homemade vortex cannon, Ruth and Tim cover a wide variety of scientific topics; from talking about physics and how magnetic fields work to looking at dramatic chemical reactions that will have the audience on the edge of their seats.
Scientastic is educational, interactive and aims to reach every student, showing them that Science is for everyone. After each experiment, Ruth explains what they’ve just seen and stresses the importance of safety. All of the experiments are curriculum-based and can be replicated in the classroom for further learning and investigation.
Comedy, skill and spectacle are all combined in Scientastic to spark students’ interest in the wonderful world of Science.
Very entertaining characters. The materials and experiments were relevant to the kids and used everyday items so that children could try it at home!
